Mr. Jon Ranstrom is a Terminal Operating System (TOS) specialist with global experience in TOS specifications, development, and testing. Prior to joining Moffatt & Nichol’s port planning technology team, Jon spent 23 years with Navis, working with customers and product managers to define requirements for new modules and customer projects, while managing development and testing.

As architect and development manager for several of Navis’ optimization modules, Jon is globally acknowledged as an expert in improving operations via TOS configuration and process improvement. His significant project portfolio includes Autostow configuration to improve ASC performance at Port Khalifa, Abu Dhabi and DPW, Antwerp; Expert Decking and PrimeRoute (straddles) configuration at Maher Terminals, New Jersey; and PrimeRoute (trucks) configuration at Port of Haifa, Israel. Jon is highly skilled in the use of various software technology, including Java, JavaScript; Python, C++, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, XML, and SQL.
